CHAR VISIT: Pitch Lake

Finally we did something I haven't done before-Pitch Lake...the largest natural asphalt lake in the world. It paved Pennsylvania Avenue among other famous locales.

First we met up with my friend Shurlan for lunch in San Fernando

We went to TGIFridays and stuffed our bellys...its exactly the same menu and everything.

Some people bathing in the natural pools. One guy told me his brother was cured from a skin disease by bathing in these pools due to their natural minerals. I have to say the water did feel nice.

CHAR VISIT: Maracas Falls

Once we got back from Tobago, we went to Maracas Falls with my Spanish teacher, Carolina, and others.

CHAR VISIT: Tobago Day 3

Thankfully it was mostly sunny our last day in Tobago

CHAR VISIT: Tobago day 2 Road Trip!

Our second day in Tobago it rained...alll day (very untypical). But at least we decided to rent a car and drive around the island that day instead of being stuck at the apartment.

First stop was Argyle Falls. It was pouring, but we walked in our swim suits. Too bad it was too rainy and muddy to go bathing and jumping!

We finally made it to Englishman's Bay and it stopped raining for a hot second. We ate some sugar cake (a Tobagan specialty) and bought earings (see char's ears)

and took a dip!

CHAR VISIT: Mt St Benedicts and Caroni Swamp

My sister Charlotte came to visit the week before Easter...here is what we did.
We first started by walking around campus and going to my spanish class. Then we took lunch up Mt. St. Benedict's and then went over to Caroni Swamp to do the tour with now my friend Sean.
